What is a mens M in a womans size?

I'd guess it would be a medium in a man's size, though sizes differ between different brands. Why not take your daughter's chest measurement, then check the chest measurements given for the men's sizings? (Most websites/catalogues show this information). That way, you'll be sure it'll fit.
